ALBUQUERQUE, NM — Senator Martin Heinrich’s campaign today released a new ad, titled “Not Ours,” that highlights how Bridgewater Associates, where Nella Domenici served as Chief Financial Officer, invested in Chinese military companies including some “that produce fighter jets, bombers, planes equipped to jam enemy radars, and the country’s first domestically built aircraft carrier,” and expanded its deep ties with the Chinese Communist Party.

“New Mexicans deserve to know where their leaders stand—and it’s clear Nella Domenici was more interested in padding her pockets than protecting our national security,” said Brad Elkins, campaign manager. “While Martin Heinrich has been working tirelessly to keep our country safe and invest in our communities, Nella was profiting off investments that directly undermine America’s security interests.”

Nella Domenici was one of six people responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of Bridgewater’s business operations. Domenici called her tenure at Bridgewater—the world’s largest hedge fund—the “pinnacle” of her career.
